Had such a ball this year at #sicilyfest gobbling up cannoli, arrancani and some very delicious Sicilian gin (I know, who knew?!) If you’ve eaten something particularly delicious or have a top tip for a local Italian haunt around the world- be it in London, San Francisco or actually in Italy I’d love to know! Sea or exceptional pretty lake? I’ve heard many mean things said about Lake Garda (yes, it is a popular package holiday destination) but there are some beautiful and (gasp!) isolated patches too- case in point ⬆️
Looking for an exceptionally pretty street in Rome for your perfect ‘I’m so stylish and nonchalant’ instagram post?
Via Margutta- located between the Spanish steps and the Piazza del Popolo - is a short street with a long history. First an enclave for medieval artists and craftsmen, later home to the likes of Puccini and Debussy, it also famously featured in A Roman Holiday and was home to one of Italy’s most prolific directors, Fellini (La Dolce Vita). And look at all that splendid ivy.
Why force yourself to choose between two delicious pastas when you can be cheeky and ask for both? 🤷🏻‍♀️
You know Mamma Mia 2 is out when every house you see looks like the perfect opportunity to relocate, renovate and start wearing dungarees, floaty kaftans and bandanas. I 💕 this little place
.. I call it ‘Anghiari by night’ #creative Anghiari was actually voted one of the top 20 most beautiful villages in Italy, so if it’s hilltop charm you’re after 💁‍♀️
Seething with jealousy. @pattiandpaul’s set up at the moment.. who needs a beach when you have undulating green hills, a roof made of grapes and dinner alfresco on the way? 😡 This is just outside Anghiari in Tuscany, has anyone been?! If so share your tips plz!
HOW DOES ONE STOP EATING MOMOS?! Spent my whole week in Nepal on a dumpling diet.. not quite ravioli but these little tasty parcels of veg, chicken and buffalo are pretty strong competition. Have returned to London looking distinctly more dumpling-like.
Not quite sure what qualified ice cream is but it’s popular! 🤔 Wherever we are, if it’s hot outside we all just want the frozen sweet stuff really don’t we?!
Have begun my annual culling of all weird and blurry photos from my camera roll and stumbled across these.. @adastraflorence you are my favourite hotel in the whole world but you have ruined all other hotels for me. If it doesn’t have a bath from which I can launch myself straight into bed and a motif based on a Pucci scarf (see the frame on the right), I’m no longer interested
